What You Need:
1 pound ground sausage (spicy or mild)
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
1/4 cup diced green onions for garnish
Instructions:
- Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Once fully cooked, drain off any excess grease and set aside.
- In a large bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning until you have a smooth, well-combined mixture.
- Add your cooked sausage crumbles, both types of shredded cheese, and diced tomatoes (if using) to the cream cheese mixture. Stir everything together until it's evenly combined.
- Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer your dip mixture to a greased 8×8-inch baking dish, smooth out the top, and sprinkle with a little extra cheese if you're feeling generous.
- Pop it in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until it's hot and bubbly with perfectly melted cheese on top.
- Let the dip cool for about 5 minutes, then sprinkle it with fresh green onions. Serve it with your favorite tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.
